Shaping the Future of Great Minds with the Gift of Classical Music

Music for Minds, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 2017 with the strong conviction that exposing children to classical music from a young age is crucial for their cognitive, emotional, and personal growth. We believe that children should hear classical music early on with all its depth, beauty, power, and color, without any adaptations or simplifications.

Numerous studies from across the globe, including in the United States, have shown that exposure to classical music and learning to play a musical instrument have a profound impact on children's IQ, memory, focus, creativity, and other key aspects of their development.

Classical music has inspired some of the greatest minds in history, including scientists, politicians, authors, and artists. Many of these individuals were shaped by their childhood experiences with classical music and continued to play an instrument throughout their lives.

Our mission is to provide children with access to the transformative power of classical music, regardless of where they are located - in the classroom, at a kindergarten, or in a concert hall. We aim to give young minds the opportunity to witness the beauty of classical music and to inspire them to reach their full potential.

As a musician, there is nothing more fulfilling than witnessing a child's awe-inspired reaction to the music I perform. During my journey as a performer, I've observed that children are incredibly perceptive to the honesty and emotion in a musical piece. They possess an innate curiosity and desire to dive into this new and captivating world of sound.

I founded Music for Minds with the mission of breaking down the misguided notion that classical music is inaccessible or beyond the comprehension of children. The truth is, children have the capacity to appreciate and form their own opinions about this rich and diverse genre of music. Simplifying it or presenting it in a watered-down form insults their intelligence and abilities.

My goal is to bring the music I am passionate about to children of all ages through school concerts, workshops, and music festivals. Not only will they be introduced to the timeless masterpieces of Western classical music - from Beethoven to Rachmaninoff, Bach to Mozart, Debussy to Amy Beach, and beyond - but they will also learn about contemporary classical music and its role in shaping the world we live in today.

I am a firm believer that early exposure and engagement with classical music plays a significant role in shaping a child's character and instilling high values and standards in their lives. It contributes to the development of a well-rounded and enriching personality.
