Play to save Luca!

Asiya joins her colleagues for series of benefit concerts to help raise money for
the brain tumor surgery of a 11-month child from Moldova.
The first concert will take place on January 6 at Bet Shira Congregation in Miami, Florida.

Red River Radio's 30-th anniversary.

Asiya will make a special appearance at Red River Radio’s 30th anniversary concert,”Live in Alexandria!,” hosted by Fred Child.
The event will happen on October 3 in Alexandria, Louisiana and will feature performances by various artists and talks with Fred Child, the host of National Public Radio’s most successful classical music program,Performance Today.

Seven Deadly Sins

In July, Asiya made an appearance at the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France, where she performed with legendary Dale Underwood. The two premiered the Seven Deadly Sins, a Sonata for Piano and Alto Saxophone by Thomas Sleeper. This Sonata is unique because it features an art video created by artist Sherri Tan that accompanies the live performance. In this way, the Sonata becomes a multidisciplinary work that explores the Seven Deadly Sins through both music and through parallels made between the music of 20th century and visual art of the past and present.

Russian Premiere Of Rachmaninoff Cello Sonata Transcription

For the first time in Russia Asiya will perform her Rachmaninoff Cello Sonata transcription in Kazan Conservatory on February 18.
The concert will also include her multimedia project on Tchaikovsky’s pieces op.72.

Masterclass in Miami

Asiya will give a master class on December 7 at 11am in Coral Gables Museum.
Free with admission to Coral Gables Museum, it is open to students of any age.
The masterclass will be followed by Asiya’s recital at the same venue on December 13.

Endless MountainMusic Festival welcomes Asiya back.

Asiya Korepanova to be faculty of Endless Mountain Music Festival.

This summer, Asiya will be a member of the Endless Mountain Music Festival’s faculty. During the three-week festival, Asiya will teach private piano lessons, present her solo multidisciplinary project based on Tchaikovsky’s 18 piano pieces, Op. 72, and perform with an orchestra two dazzling pieces by George Gershwin–Rhapsody in Blue and Piano Concerto in F. Her performances will be with the festival orchestra under the baton of Stephen Gunzenhauser, Music Director of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director of Endless Mountain.

 

The festival takes place from July 26 through August 10.

Midnight concert

Asiya will perform Tchaikovsky’s last piano work, 18 pieces op. 72 on his Memory Day, November 6, just 30 miles away from Tchaikovsky’s birthplace. This special recital will also include Asiya’s transcription of two episodes from Tchaikovsky’s Ballet “Sleeping Beauty” and will take place at 11pm at Udmurt Philharmonic Society’s hall in Izhevsk, Russia.

Asiya plays at the Endless Mountain Music Festival for the third time!

From July 21 till August 5, Asiya is performing at the Endless Mountain Music Festival in Pennsylvania for the third time. Her schedule at this year’s Festival includes three chamber recitals, a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Second Concerto with the Festival Orchestra and Maestro Stephen Gunzenhauser, and a solo recital.

The Lightning Fields

On May 26, Asiya joined trumpet virtuoso Craig Morris for the world premiere performance of “The Lightning Fields”, a new exciting piece from the Grammy Award-winning composer Michael Daugherty. The premiere took part at the opening night Gala Concert of the 40th Annual International Trumpet Guild Conference.

Frank Cooper to present an introductory lecture before Asiya’s recital.

Professor Frank Cooper, musicologist and former President of the American Liszt Society, will present a short introductory lecture prior to Asiya’s recital at Coral Gables Museum on Saturday, December 13, at 6pm.
 
The recital is presented by The South Florida Chapter of the American Liszt Society and sponsored by a Community Development grant from the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs. Asiya will present her own transcription of Rachmaninov’s cello sonata for solo piano along with several works by Tchaikovsky and Liszt. The lecture starts at 6pm and the recital follows at 6:30.

Asiya’s recital at Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. will broadcast next Monday, September 15, at 9pm on Classical WETA 90.9 FM.
 
The program includes:

Chopin: Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op.61
Rachmaninoff: Piano Sonata No.1 in D minor, Op.28
